ABOUT ME AND MY THOUGHTS
Hi,
My name is Asad (A.K.A Braindonor). Here on this website I have tried to provide some information of this breed. Before I go ahead I want to thank my great friend Rizwan from UK who provided space for my domain.
I am a passionate lover and a keen student of the magnificent breed i.e.Pakistani Bully Kutta.I grew up in Turkey and also availed my primary education in Berlin (Germany). I am into construction and selling of small houses that I build on land that I personally buy.
My Brother Ejaz lives in Spain and is equally a great lover of all dog breeds. I speak several languages including English, German, Turkish and Urdu…
I have traveled to the following countries for business and pleasure: Turkey, Germany, Greece, Dubai, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe and some other countries as well...
My hobbies Include: Dogs, Working out, traveling, learning new languages, and getting to know more about different cultures.
I can not stand people who think they know all and can’t stop self praising themselves. After creating this website I have encountered some fierce opposition from some cheap group of people who strongly believe that the Bully Kutta is only for the land where it is currently being used only as a fight dog. My belief is that any one ,any where in the world who qualifies to take care, nurture and provide good training and life to any dog can have any dog.
As per my understanding and the information I have been able to gather from various sources about the breed’s origin is as following: The breed’s foundation block is the ancient white alaunt of asia,(now extinct) which is also the foundation stock for the Great Dane and most of other mastiff breeds in Europe. Hence many novice dogs’ men from the west claim that the Bully Kutta's resemblance is due to crosses of Great Danes. In actual it is because both the breeds’ forefathers have the alaunt, which at times causes this confusion.
Here in Pakistan dogs men are not really keen in preserving the breed in its original shape and form. Most of the owners (not every one) and enthusiast use the breed for pitting purposes and are always on a look out for faster and more tenacious breeds. Which prompted them to infuse Gull terr “original Hinks Bull Terrier“(now extinct in UK) and other local terrier breed’s blood in the original Bully Kutta. It provided them with a more agile and faster dog that entertained them more and provided instant and additional promising results in the dog fighting tournaments.
This experiment was like a dream come true for the dog’s men here. Over 3-4 decades the original Bully Kutta has changed tremendously in Pakistan. This crossing was (is) so successful (in the eyes of the dog fight enthusiasts) that now we have a new Bully Kutta with Gull Terr blood (I call them the Modern Bully Kutta). This also explains the variations in the Bully Kutta. The Modern Bully Kutta has been there since the begining of 18 century, It breeds true to its type, however the current era may be this breeds most popular one where it's fame has already crossed the border of it's native land and is slowly becoming a well known breed in the west as well.
The experimenting never stops and people are frantically crossing other local Terrier breeds with the Ancient Bully Kutta to create something even faster and more persistent dog in the dusty grounds of dog fight tournaments. What the dog’s men don’t care about is that, for their own pleasure they have brought the glorious breed on the brink of extinction which is a very bitter and sad truth for me.
I hope and pray that some day we will be able to save and preserve the Bully Kutta in its original shape.
P.S Time to time I will be updating this site with more info, Pictures and news. In case you have any questions regarding this magnificent Native breed of Pakistan Please feel free to contact me.
