This is the dog that has its roots set many thousands of years back in history. It has been mentioned in many a peom of writers of the past.Its record is mentioned in the 1000 years old Hindu holy scriptures that there was a dog that was full of wrinkles had tiny eyes , loose skin massive skull and was very protective of its Master. We believe this dog fits the exact description mentioned in the Scripts and Ancient History Books.
Later on this breed was taken to Europe by Alexander the Great and his men to improve the Euorpean mastiffs. They come in Black ,Brindle,Brown and other colors as well, But white being the most rarest and desired color and very difficult to find. As I am aware that some say that there is NO Short haired white Mastiff in existence. For them here I am with Graphical prove of their very existence.
Their temperament is war like being the reason why they where taken by Alexander the Great's Army. Being a big dog does not stop them having an attidude much like a gull terrier and are totally fearless.
The skin is also very notable even though short coat it is very thick and tough, it serves to give them protection from the attacks of other dogs and animals and very loose specially under the neck to protect the wind pipe. The large skull gives them the jaw crushing power.
Some of the dogs you see on this page have passed away except a few. They are known to protect there owner till death as are highly pain resistant and being formidable fighters with immense size has kept them alive through history with few changes. You will like this is that they do not droll like the European mastiffs. If I could use one word to describe this breed it would be that this breed is a majestic and magnificient breed. Ancient in Lahore. Notice the very small size eye,s and loose skin under the neck. Don,t let their looks decieve you they can be hyper aggressive.
