THE ART OF DOG CULTURE

Salaam ,

A Country rich of culture and tradition and truely a good thing. Even our dogs have not escaped this. You have seen Zarri work ( Gold & Silver tread work ) on traditional womens clothes and shoes but have you ever thought that there would be collars with Zarri work on them , well then there is because I have seen them. Well I think it is all about a statement of how much the owner loves and admires his dog.

After the dog tournment in Chakwal I went to this traditional leather shop and saw dog collars being made purely by hand. I bought one from the shop. All are traditionally hand made with the kari ghar ( Master workman ) working with precision hammers and sitting on small stools carring about ther business. Some of the collars are very nice , pure leather, very robust and elegant, some were very flashy and Kuch per zarri kaa kam kia hoa hua hay. I took pictures of them . The bottom ones had Zarri work done to them. You can imagine the manual work and skill that had been put in them. Mostly all made for the native Bully Kutta.

Regards
Asad…
