Often you see dogs with not one but two or even 3 ropes around them to hold them back. Is it just a style set to impress the crowd or do the dogs possess this power to drag this many man along behind them. Even though I have had a bully kutta in the past it had never let me come close without trying to attack me. I never spent enough time at home, for the dog, I was still a stranger. I have had orchaovas and pit bulls small compared to this gaint breed with very strong pulling power. I can only imagine from their size ,with what force they pull with....
Some use a chader (sheet) to hide the dog,s veiw of the opponent to lessen the excitement of their dog and thus their dog,s pull towards their oppenent.
You see 3 man holding each holding a rope to the dog. As they enter the arena and get closer to the opponent two of the man now move to opposite sides and put a chader in front of the dog and also let go of the ropes. Meanwhile the man still holding the dog rope now lets go of the rope and holds the dog by the leather strap , opening it yet still holding the two end,s of the strap. Once the dogs are almost face to face and some yards away the the two man at the corners pull away the chader . The dog see,s the other dog and ackes to be let and the centre man lets go safely in a controlled manner... such a scene always arouses the crowd and causes a uproar... Note Picture 1 and 2 are from last season tournoment. Pictures 9,10,11 and 12 are pictures of the same dog this season. See how much bigger he has gone in mass.
